Enjoy the outdoors togetherA walk in the park at the end of the street or a walk in a national park is a great way to spend time with dad. It is the first summer since 1990 that the gondola at the Sunshine Ski Resort is open to summer visitors. So why not plan an excursion? Sunshine Meadows in Banff National Park? The gondola and the Standish chairlift do all the work, you can take an easy walk through the beautiful alpine pastures.
Exciting things to do outside
Closer to Vancouver you can explore dramatic landscapes on your
way to Whistler: the Sea-to-Sky Highway, the Sea-to-Sky Gondola, Squamish, Whistler Village, and Brandywine Falls. Admire Howe Sound, the Squamish River, and the Coastal Mountains from the gondola. Are you excited about a hike over a suspension bridge? Drive to North Vancouver Lynn Canyon and follow the trails to the suspension bridge across the narrow gorge. At 40 meters long and 50 meters above the water, it is a pretty exciting crossing.

Last but not least - why not doing a BBQ. In many countries, BBQs are a great tradition on Father's Day. The BBQ should be filled with all the delicacies that are Dad's favourites. Juicy steaks and hearty skewers, but also crispy vegetables and delicious salads and homemade sauces should not be missing.
